Rui (るい) is an utaite who is known for her mature, soulful, and expressive voice. She usually sings with a lot of power without feeling overwhelming, but sometimes uses a gentler, husky voice. She often ad-libs nonsense syllables in her covers during the instrumental sections, giving them a jazz-like feel.

Her first cover was of "Tsuki no Waltz" , which reached 13K views but was later taken down. She quickly gained popularity for her highly apparent skill, and many of her covers were tagged by other users with "A wild pro appeared!" (野生のプロ, yasei no pro). Her most popular solo cover to date is "glow", which has 55K views and over 3K Mylists as of March 2013.

She has also participated in some live events such as the VOCALOID Acoustic Arrange concert in front of Ebisu Station in Tokyo.
